Protect Your Brain

Our brain is quite simply our "motherboard." We must protect our brain and be proactive when we sustain injuries to our head, regardless of the intensity of the injury.

There are different types of brain injuries, such as Concussions, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Mild Traumatic Brain Injuries, Aquired Brain Injuries, etc are types of brain injuries that causes damage to our delicate brains and these types of injuries can cause permanent damage. I have attached a link for further review on these terms:

As reported in the news, Pro-Football Player, Junior Seau, died last May after committing suicide; a very sad day for Football and Football Fans alike. It was disclosed today in the news (link attached) that Junior Seau had a debilitaing brain disease, commonly known as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) from the multiple blows to the head during his 20 year career in the NFL . Over time, multiple blows to the head cause increased damage to the brain, which has devastating side affects.

If you or anyone you know has suffered a blow to the head or any type of head injury, please be proactive in getting them medical attention by seeing a doctor or taking them to the Emergency Room. Most importantly, educate yourself with what to do when you or some you know suffers any type of head injury regardless of the impact.

Protect Your Brain! Always be mindful of any injury you sustain to your head and seek medical attention right away.
